What
is a Twitter Chat?
A Twitter chat is a scheduled gathering on Twitter that people can
virtually attend in order to discuss a certain topic via tweets, using a
hashtag to keep track of the conversation. It is
similar to a chat room in that it’s a topic-driven discussion happening in real
time. It just happens to take place on Twitter.
How to
Participate in the Twitter Chat
To
follow the chat, type #CCOHSchat into the search box on Twitter.
To ask questions and participate, log in to your Twitter account by 12:45 p.m. EST and follow @CCOHS. You may use a third-party service such as Twubs to follow the conversation using the hashtag #CCOHSchat. Look for the different questions, which will be designated as “T1,”, “T2,” etc. When you send a tweet, include the topic number and the hashtag #CCOHSchat.
